Just started playing this song, im only playing a few weeks buts its stating to sound good, Any hints ideas how to make this song great, or who has recorded it in the past that done a great job of it.

ive played this back along,bluesy number i think,i cant remember the melody? quite .
very typical of the 20/30s tunes, the blues scale did work over parts of it and i think it lent it to having some chromatic passages also.

I played this tune as a member of The Long Island Banjo Society a long time ago. I sat in with little Jazz and played banjo... I wasn't ask to continue. It probably dates back to the 1920s.

My father's dixieland band used to play this number back in the day, but it's been about thirty years since we last did it. Though we never sang it, my father found it offensive on its face and we put it away for good.

We used to have a big band chart of that tune that was okay,
but I find old tunes like that a bit corny these days.
