My B&H Oxford tenor (apparently a Pierret stencil; stamped 'Made in France') is missing its clothes guard. Does anyone have a similar horn that they could send me a photo of, so I can make an original-looking new one. Or perhaps if anyone has a spare guard (about 90mm between centres) laying around that would do the job ...:)

Dolnets, Beaugniers, old Keilwerths, etc. had similar guards, maybe you can find an online image from one of those....all of my horns had 'em once, but they're gone now...

I never saw the need for 'em until my GF poited out that on her old Keilwerth, if she sits and plays the horn to her side, sometimes the mechanisms of the lower stack actually are prevented from operating because they are up against her leg.....turned out to be quite true, which I suppose was the whole point of 'em.....
