Ok - here are the rules ...... Come up with the Name of the Musical that the quote is from and you get to post the next quote for somebody else to figure out.... You have to post the answer to the previous post in order to reply with another quote.
I'll Start.......
"It would be Grand, Grand, Grand if you would come"
Ok - now somebody name the musical and also post a new quote from a different mystery musical.
Good luck

Evita.
"Let me out, let me out. Let me just see her."
Edit: Have any of you played Evita on the sax? I'm still fairly new to the instrument (I started less than 6 months ago), and am considering it as a musical to teach myself. I want to learn a musical or two (the vocal parts, not the pit parts yet).

Yeah, one of my favourite lines which I use all the time, and unfortunately was pretty appropriate in my last marriage, as well as when I was in the service - "I live to grovel".

Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Reflect Up
I've never seen it, but you picked the one song from it that I happen to know.
Now for one of my favourites:
"If my husband finds out he'll throw me out on the street, and I'll have to sell pencils, or...apples, or . . . other things."

Here's a clue. The line is said more than once during a really long pause in the music-not even underscoring- of about 10-15 minutes (depending on laughter and applause).

Of course you're right. The character of Bela Zangler, the promoter, is drunk, and Billy (the young character), who is disguised as Bela unbeknownst to the real Bela, is also drunk, and joins him at the table, where a hilarious 'mirror' bit occurs (a la Marx Brothers).

I believe that's from The Full Monty. At first I thought Chicago, but I don't think there's a Frank in that one.
