anyone no about these, I've had Selmer Series III but don't need that expensive of a horn:
Antigua Winds silver Plated Soprano Saxophone
Brass Lacquered Keys
Model A580-SP
Two Necks - One Curved and One Straight
One Mouth Piece with Cover

Intonation is my major concern, thanks

Be aware that the 580 is an older model and does not share the glory of the 582/586/590 series.

Fred, Thanks, because I wouldn't use Soprano that much I didn't see a point in spending that much, hope to use a 580 in the realms of a few tunes. I had a Series III but it sat too much. I hope to make a 580 work for me as it would be a "One Percenter". 8)

I had a 580LQ. The intonation was a bit squirrelly on it. I ended up trading it for a 590 in the newer series. The 590 does not have the problems of the 580.

The 582 is the lowest priced model in the new series and I think you can get one from Kessler and sons for around $650. That may not be a lot more than a used 580, you may be a lot happier in the long run with the 582 even for a few tunes.

I don't know how tell a 580 from a 582 etc. but my Antigua Sop. , I think it's a 580, plays very well.
I can't say that there are really any intonation problems. The most comfortable ergos of any sop. I have played.
