Malerne

I have an opportunity to buy a malerne soprano. Can anyone share some knowledge on this brand. they closed in 1974. I cannot find a serial number listing.

I have not seen a Malerne sax, but owned two Malerne clarinets. The "Standard" was a nice intermediate, the"Professional" a good high intermediate to entry pro. Materials and workmanship were very good. I don't think anyone has a list of Malerne serial numbers.

Maybe Dave Spiegelthal will see this and chime in. He's rebuilt a lot of Malerne instruments.
