hey everybody, i have this alto that ive had for awhile now and i was just wondering if i can get your guys opinion on its value. not looking to sell at the moment or anything like that. im just wondering what its worth in order to decide what i should do with it. i play tenor primarily so its nice to have around, but if its worth more than i think it is, than i might consider selling it.

here are the pictures:

It's not a great time to sell. That's a desirable alto and better than money in the bank at the moment if you can afford to keep it.

It appears to have its snap-on resonators and original Norton springs. The matt silver plating has been over-polished in places, but the coverage is good. Apparently the only repair is that resoldered key guard.

If all the snaps and Nortons are there, I would say $800.00 needing a repad; maybe $1,200.00 if the pads are good.

That is a great looking horn! It is not always so easy to find one of these in such good shape, so, if I were you I would keep it, even if you don't play alto often.

Sax-ony is right. With these financial times it wouldn't be good to sell it these days anyway. Enjoy your alto!
