Update on the Meyer 5M that was Funked Up From the Factory

The new piece came yesterday, and I handed in the worked over piece.
Funny thing is the new piece plays exactly the same as the piece
that had the table sanded down, and awful looking rails. Oh well, if I
decide to sell the new one some day, it'll at least have the markings
on the table. It's a GREAT piece, however, and I don't foresee selling
it anytime soon. They still have some sealed Meyer 6M's, so.....<G>.

i recently ordered 3 brand new meyer alto mps from the brasswind. a small chambered 5 and small chambered 6 and a new york limited edition/ all 3 played and looked fabulous. i wound up keeping both small chambered pieces and returne the ny le. i think that the new meyer mps come from the factory playing really good. any one else like the brand new meyers?

I'm currently using an (HR)Otto Link #5. Prior to the OL, I used a Meyer #6 mpc. I made the change because I wanted a smaller tip. There was nothing wrong with the Meyer, in fact I still have it. It was so good that I won't part with it. Instead, I keep it as a spare.
