I have heard rumors of Eugene Rousseau creating a fingering chart specifically for the Leblanc Rationale (semi-rationale). Does anyone know anything of this?

I have a fingering chart for my Leblanc System tenor.
I don't know if it was written by Rousseau. If you mean the real 'Le Rationel' horns, I wouldn't know.

There is a manual at (www.doctorsax.biz/vito_alto_saxes.htm). Within the manual is a fingering chart.

The manual was written by Eugene Rousseau.

Yes, that's the one I have. It has nothing to do with the Rationel, it's a chart for the System horns.

I don't know about the particular horns, but I do know that Dr. Rousseau was an endorser for Leblanc before his relationship with Yamaha. That would have been in the early 70s.

Actually, he got involved w/Leblanc around 1964(if memory serves), and switched to Yamaha sometime in the early 1970s.

Leblanc put out a pamphlet w/Rousseau's pic on the front. Inside, he explained the system and listed several examples of fingering passages. Interesting little brochure.

btw, prior to Rousseau, Vincent Abato was an endorser of the Leblanc System horns.
