I am currently looking at a Clark Fobes San Francisco Cf+ mouthpiece. This has a 1.00 tip opening. I heard this piece takes a harder reed than normal 1.00 mouthpieces because of facing, etc. What are your experiences with ANY of his mouthpieces and their corresponding reed strengths? I am not at any location to look at his mouthpieces as anyone else is.

I would agree, I have a CFplus, as well as a 2L and 4L. All seem to blow easier than the opening would dictate and as a result I tend to use a stiffer reed. Right now Grand Concert Selects on the 4L and those are not too stiff....these are nice pieces if you don't like a lot of resistance. You can balance that out with reed strength.
