I searched the forum and didn't find any reviews of Phil's bari saxes. Anyone care to share their experience with one?

I think the guys who got them are too busy gigging to post much anymore. :)

I think reedsplinter got one a while ago, you could ask him.

Kritavi might have one? It's either him or davyray maybe? Gah, I can't remember, but someone has one. I'll remember at somepoint. It's 2:30, and I'm semi brain dead.

I have one and play it several times a week. I got it over a year ago and after initial adjustments and fixing damage from shipping, 0 issues. I love it!

That's the one. I knew it was a dave from NC. Just couldn't remember his username. Deeply apologize. They are great horns though, only played one, not owned one. If I was still in the bari market they'd be top of my list though.

I have one. I love it. Just did my first gig on it Friday night. The sax player from the other band was very impressed with the tone and projection. It is a joy to play and in a class of horns that cost thousands more. My friend who played in the Buddy Rich Band was floored by the power and vibrancy of it. I had a Buffet Super Dynaction prior to this but am much happier with this horn. I've shown it to two techs but neither has had to do a thing to it, it arrived setup and playing and the current padset may just outlive me. An overhaul on a used bari can cost a large portion of the cost of this horn so this is a great way to go.

Gold plated on mine. I would have gone with the lacquer if the gold plated one hadn't been such a good deal at the time though :D
