I've got an Olds Parisian Ambassador bari w/o a neck.
I'm not hopeful of finding this specific brand, tho I'm gonna try, but could someone email me a pic of the "official" neck so that I can determine whether it's on the long or short side, and approx. placement of the octave key?????
I do still have the tenon, so I can get that measurement if needed, but the above info would be really helpful.
I'D ALSO BE DELIGHTED TO PURCHASE THIS NECK, OR - IF NECESSARY- AN ENTIRE PROJECT HORN WITH THE NECK.......OR ANY NECK THAT MAY LIKELY WORK.
Supposedly these are made by Beaugnier, with the plain Parisians made by Pierret........so any other stencils by these might also provide a workable neck.
Any other suggestions/resources would of course be appreciated......these sorts of plaintive wailings by those of us stuck with neckless saxes becoming by now common.
email= mpcbliss@yahoo.com
Thanks.

Hey mpcbliss-

Miles Ahead Music is selling a Parisian Ambassador Bari on e-bay right now.

There are some good pics of the neck (looks sml - like to me) if you need them. The horn looks to be in somewhat rough shape and is at about $100 with 5 days left in a 7 day listing. Maybe you can keep an eye on it and sneak in at the last minute and grab it for a reasonable price to get the neck.

If the horn is salvageable, you may be able to use the 'new' neck to find one from another brand that will work, and mate that with the e-bay horn to sell to recover some of your cost?!

Here is the link - and best of luck!
