Anybody have experience with these? I've been lookiing for a Martin curved soprano for a couple of years to no avail. A friend has a King curved up for sale at a great price compared to curved Bueschers and Conns. It is only keyed to Eb, though.

One of my teachers had one in college and it was great. If you can live without the high end, should be a good choice. I have seen some King straight ones to high F but I don't know if the curvies were ever that way. They seem to be bringing about $800 on ebay lately. I don't think Martin ever made a curved one other than that Saxello type thing.

Sure, I'd like to get my hands on either the semi curved Lyon and Healy made by Martin or the curved Martin, but they are oh so rare. I've only seen one for sale.
I've decided to skip on the King soprano and bought, you guessed it... another 1926 Martin soprano. Now I have a silver plated one in perfect condition and a bare brass in great playing condition as a backup.

Send all excess to me! Boy, I sure would like to see a Martin Curvy. In 1963 I saw a Martin Gold Plated straight one with a ton of engraving in a music store in Bluefield WV for $150 that was as new. That was a bunch of $$$ then for a 16 year old and I still remember the finish on it! Hindsight.
