Saw you guys last night in FW, and I know the DDBB are some of your heroes, but Mingo Fishtrap blew them away! I think your song selection and tempo changes are more varied, and the members of your band definitely were having a better time. Don't get me wrong, DDBB is tight, no doubt, but got a little monotonous. Funk on, Mingo!

Pfox,

Thanx for the kind words! We've opened for DDBB a few times and feel honored we get to do it. We're not rivals by any means. Our drummer and Terrence are good friends, going back to the McDonalds All American band. So as far as working with DDBB it's more of a Luke/Yoda kinda relationship.....we're there to learn.

This summer we'll be spreading the gospel of Mingo across the country. If you know anyone in the following cities tell 'em to look for us in June. They can get more info at mingofishtrap.com.

San Marcos TX
Ft Worth/Dallas
Tulsa
Salina KS
Boise
Eugene OR
Portland
Bend OR
Seattle WA

and still trying to line up San Francisco, Denver, and Salt Lake City

And if you've got a couple of grand to spend listening to a week of kick *** music while you chill and drink a pina colada in the deck chair, we got a call from Delbert McClinton to join him on his cruise in January. Check it out at delbert.com.

Thanx again for coming out to the AArdvark. Next time introduce yourself. I'll get the first beer.
