Since I play Lawtons on tenor and bari,I´ve been thinking about getting one for soprano,too.Anyone playing metal Lawton on sop.?

i used a lawton HR .070 plain chamber on soprano briefly. It had a slighly more open throat and low baffle (but still more than say a bari). It had a nice clear, tone.... brighter than a bari though. I prefer my bari .070 - it is darker, fatter and generally responds better.
If you like brighter sounds on soprano as you do on tenor Sam, I'd consider it - probably a metal B I'd say - the P seemed a bit lifeless too me.

Don't know how consistent the room acoustics, microphone, etc. were.

I use a 7*b on a Conn Curved Sop, they seem to work better on Curved Sops than on the straight models. Try a metal Link for straight Sop or Selmer SS if it is a modern horn. I have a couple of other interesting things here too, drop me a line.
