Hmmm, what is "decent"? Do you mean "cheap", "inexpensive", or a "good value"? Big differences...

Depends what you want. YOu can trial one from WW and BWs for under 900 bucks. I played one locally and was intreaged so I ordered one from WW and BWs. It arrived with leaks so I couldn't test it properly and that pissed me off. But the overall sound wasn't that bad. Reminded me of a Cannonball. K

I just got a new 850 Tenor with the high G key. It's finished in swirly burnished brass. The horn is coated with a beautiful translucent Emerald GREEN color (custom ordered for someone).

Yes it's a cheaply made horn compared to my top shelf collection of Selmer, King and Buescher tenors. On the plus side it costs a fraction of the giants..Risk factors on some of my jobs require a less valuable axe.

This LASax can hang sound-wise.. The entire scale is nicely consistant..How long it will last is anybodys guess. I've played my first 10 dates on it and so far so good. The first recordings are very nice. The horn has a quality sound.

My thumbrest won't tighten..gonna eopxy it on tonite..Hope it was an individual defect and not the whole enchilada. :D
