Any of you guys use these. They look really good. They are a bunch of recording of a drummer playing time that you can practice to instead of just using a metronome. I'm thinking about getting them.

Hey Steve,

I have Vol. 1 Straight Ahead Swing 4/4. I used it a while ago and found it interesting for a little while but haven't used it since. I then started practising with a drummer friend of mine and found that more useful as we could respond to each other. It was certainly a different experience and better than just using a metronome. Maybe I will drag it out again at some stage.

I'm a big fan: I use it more or less every day. And yeah, it's a nice alternative to playing with a metronome or BIAB.

Swings real good, with perfect time, and is human, as opposed to the boom-chicka BIAB drumatron. *Especially* for way up tempo stuff: actual human drummers play much more "open" at very fast tempos, and when you need to work on very bright, CD Metronome really nails that feel.

(Paul Carman is a very fine saxophonist, by the way...)
