Hey there! I've only test played the big boy, and it compares quite nicely to my zephyr. My only complaint is that they haven't made much in the way of ergonomic improvements to the design. The keys, like the Zeph, feel very far apart to me. Great sound, tone, resonance like all CBs.

Hi! I happen to own a cannonball big bell bari! It's beautiful, black nickelW/ silver keys! It sounds even better than it looks. The low end is incredible and the high end is easy to control. Some don't like the feel of the keys, but I think that is just because they need to get used to it. Needless to say it is perfect for jazz or classical, and different mouthpieces/ligature combinations can adjust the sounds even more. I highly recommend this horn over any other bari i've ever played! Peace.

I've had mine for almost a year. It is free-blowing, and very versatile sound-wise. I like a classic Gerry-Mulligan dark warm sound, and use a Jody Jazz classic (Runyon) with 1 1/2 plasticover reeds. I tried a "Q" series (also JJ) and the thing would peel paint !!
If you get one, I'd look at a Protec hard gig bag, as the CB case can be used to bury you.

There is a girl on there who is selling a C-ball bari at present...probably for a very reasonable price!

Thanks Randall, but at this time there is no way i can really afford it because all my money is going into my education, leaving me with very little to set aside. So like I said I am saving pennies!
