Does anyone know where I can find the sheet music for Dick Parry's solo on tenor in Money (Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon)?

Thanks-
Max

I had no luck. Maybe just approximate it from the CD. Is it me or just my obsession with odd metered music ... but doesn't that song strike you as particuarly pedestrian? Like they said "hey guys, wouldn't it be cool to do a song in 7/4?" .... and just did that .... rather than writing a song in 7/4 because it just came to you. I like pink floyd a lot, but ... I think I could transcribe most of that solo for you now that I'm listening to it (thank you LEGAL napster!)

this is a great example of how to use the search functionality on this site.

select "seach".

enter "pink floyd"

see the link that says "Sax parts on Money by Pink Floyd"

Here is a shortcut:

There is a link within that thread to the site that has the transcription. It is 50 cents a page I believe.

Good find. I figured that was about the only way to really get it, sit down with two ears and a pencil. But someone already did that! XL3NT!

Saw this post and thought I'd add my transcription. Did it a couple of weeks ago. It's for alto. Was a little tricky as your man can't play in time!

Try www.saxsolos.com

I've puchased several transcriptions from them. They aren't always the most accurate but an excellent starting point. And inexpensive...wow, check them out!

The entire solo is on the (concert) Bb minor pentatonic scale. C for tenor and soprano, G for alto and bari. really easy to figure out the notes hes playing, really hard to play them in time.

Up a half step and you're there. Close though.

Ah. I guess I misread the tab as being in Bb minor instead of Bm. Well, at least I've started on my way to learning it in all 12 keys ;)
