series k 8 **** link?

Am i missing something? i have come accross a **** link with 'series k 8' written on the side where hawkins special would be if it was a HS

what does this mean?

All the "Four Star" Links are numbered except for the HS, and possibly other models. I think there was a "Vido Musso" model also.

oh, I thought the HS had series 3h 74 written on them.

what does this mean? tip opening/lay code? i thought the tip opening was stamped on the table though....
