I currently use a standard neotech neck strap - I like the comfortable padding and am happy with the plastic clip which seems very secure. However, it is just a bit too long and I am getting fed up with adjusting it with safety pins!

I am 5 feet 5", and so not that small - is my posture wrong, or do I need a shorter strap? If I need a shorter strap, any suggestions. Neotech do a child's version, but that is too short.

I had a student with this same problem. Where the webbing is folded over on itself and stitched together, you cut the stitching shorten the length and sew it back together. Anybody with sewing experience can do this one.

The Brancher straps from saxforte.com come in a small size that I use on soprano. I couldn't find a strap anywhere that would shorten enough to work with a curved soprano until I bought one of these. These a very well made straps.

I adjusted my Neotech as Carl H describes (by about 3 inches), and at the same time reduced the twist from 1/2 to zero. Works great now, though over time it gets a bit hot.
