Old Guarantee Records

Does anyone know if it is possible to track down an original owner of a horn through the original guarantee number supplied when the instrument was sold. I have a Buescher Aristocrat with the guarantee card and booklet "The proper care of your Buescher Tru-Tone Instrument"

Doubtful, but worth a shot. You never can tell what records may still survive in some dusty corner.

ive always wanted to do the same with my horns.
I know the history of my Martin but no others.

you could try posting pics and an SN here in case anyone here has owned it before and then you could contact Buescher through the Conn Selmer company if they still own the name and ask for the for that horn SN to be looked up in the Buescher records if they A) exist and B) go back far enough? and then, if your warranty card has details of the store that sold it you could find out what happened to the store that sold it and track down their records?
