I was the 2nd highest bidder on a high G La sax tenor. Since 1st bidder backed out I was offered sax for only 393.88. Since seller was local I checked it out. I bought it and gave it to my girls' sax teacher for a year of clarinets lessons for me. He been talkin bout getting a tenor and I need another sax like I need anothe hole in the head. Anyway for the money it's a awfully nice sax. Glad I found it cause the girls' teabcher is a really nice guy and only charges us $10 a 1/2 hour for lessons and sold us hos Conn 12M 1948 baritone for only $1000. Here it is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEDWX:IT&item=120347596893

That is a great horn and you got a fantastic price on it! I have the same one in burnished brass and really love it. Hope your girls clarinet teacher gets good use out of it.

I sold one almost like it, an LA-850 - only difference was burnished brass finish on mine - just last month for $750, and thought that was a fair price. You got a great deal.

My daughters' sax teacher is enjoying his LA sax tenor immensely. I'm enjoying my squeak machine(clarinet)lessons.
