I'm getting a new mouthpiece, and I was wondering about your opinions about some mouthpieces. I want an "old school bebop" sound, so I was thinking of getting a Brilhart Tonalin, similiar to one Charlie Parker played. Another option is a meyer, but I have heard there some quality control problem with meyers. I'm also thinking about a Link, but I heard of the same problems as well.

Play them and base your decision on this. The Vandoren V16 (alto) is one of many Meyer copies around, and it receives a very positive feedback. I play a Meyer M7M on alto, it was as easy as order it, test it and keep it.

Try the Runyon Modele 22 (Parker used one too!).Runyons are well made mouthpieces,I´ve had zero problems with mine.
i think the brand new meyer altos play great! i know it sounds crazy but i like the new small chambered pieces way better than any of the ny usa or meyer bros pieces that i used to own ., i just recieved three new ones from the brasswind . small chambered 5 and 6 and a le new york. all 3 played excellent. no quality issues.kept both small chambered pieces and returned the ny le because i didnt hear any improvement with the "aged rubber"
