I'll try to get a pic up of this piece, but I felt certain that it had to be a Runyon mouthpiece, but I don't recall Runyon ever having a different logo, or at least not one like this.
The mouthpiece in question is white, has a 3 facing and an odd shaped table, kind of stream lined, if you will, and has a Runyon lig and cap. The logo on the piece reads SR in sort of an 80's futuristic type font.
Without seeing it, any clues?

Well the Runyon lig and cap is a giveaway. It's definitely a Runyon SR which are pretty common on tenor. Art Pepper used one on alto.

He used the Custom which was before the other varieties were invented. Then it was modified to the third generation custom there is today. The SR is a reissue of the original custom.

For varification purposes, here are a couple of Blackberry pics of the piece in question.
Thanks for the help on this!
Incidentally, this is a clarinet piece.

:treble:yup
thats definetly a sr runyon mouthpiece
i own one just like it
The SR was originally produced by us
in the early 1950’s for west coast jazz musicians who required a
very dark, thick tone
it has a very dark tone and is loud
i love it !!:D
